Sorry, No Polar Bears is run by Carisson Oy (business ID 2655586-4), Helsinki, Finland. For anything about your data, email hello@snpb.fi.
When you visit
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and keep out abuse, Cloudflare's servers handle your IP address and basic request details (browser, time, page). We don't run analytics, advertising or tracking, and we set no cookies of our own. Fonts and code are served from this site, not from third parties.
In your browser
Some features remember things in your own browser's storage. This stays on your device and we never see it:
- which sites you've seen and the last one you had, so the shuffle doesn't repeat itself
- game high scores and progress
- your bear's name and colour on the island
- a random key for island multiplayer, deleted when you close the tab
You can clear all of it in your browser's settings. Because it only makes the features you use work, it doesn't need a consent banner.
On the island
When you play with others, your bear's name, colour, position and chat messages pass through our server to the other players in real time. Nothing is saved. Please don't type anything personal in the chat.
When you contact us
If you email, call or message us, we keep what you send so we can reply and, if we work together, run the project. We delete it when it's no longer needed, or sooner if you ask. Our basis for this is our legitimate interest in answering you, and the contract once we're working together.
Where it goes
Cloudflare is a US company and may process request data outside the EU, under the EU's approved safeguards for such transfers. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else. Links to other sites, like our games on itch.io, follow those sites' own policies.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email hello@snpb.fi. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Ombudsman at tietosuoja.fi.
